"You can't buy happiness, but you can buy local. And that's pretty much the same thing." --unknown
Our first market of the season is upon us and we couldn't be more excited for fresh greens, meat & cheese, wine & spirits and everything else that makes the Stowe Farmers' Market so special. Join us! It's going to be a beautifully warm, shady day--a perfect start to the 2015 season.
Everything you need is here at the market this year: food staples, a delicious lunch, garden plants, beautiful artwork, jewelry and crafts, and of course: Vermont maple. All of your favorite vendors are back with familiar classics as well as some new debuts.
Among our new vendors: Bonnieview Farm with sheep milk cheese, Green Mountain Potstickers with eat-the-market yummies, and Ardelia Farm & Co. with flowers and baked goods.
Check out our vendor listings for the full lineup of products.
Oh, and of course: music! Jim Charonko joins us on opening day. Plus Elly Ventura, Master Composter, comes along to give customers the low-down on waste management in Vermont.
Due to the work done on the field, we've had to lay sod to fix the damage. This may mean a little finagling as we wait for the grass to replenish--bear with us! Should be up to snuff in a matter of weeks.
And a final word about the bridge construction: To get to the market from the village, customers will either need to use Moscow Rd. toward Waterbury or West Hill Rd. next to Shaws. We will get signage out to help avoid confusion.
Can't wait to see you this weekend--it's going to be a great season!
